Bosnian Women at the Fountain

Sarajevo, Kolo Sumejja, Water/Bird Goddesses

Categorized in these topics: Baba Yaga

Nestled and encircled, the hauntingly beautiful center of Sarajevo near the library that was torched in the Balkan War, stands momentual "the foundation" an artesian well.

The artesian well has poured fragrant and pure waters into the mouths of South Slavs for centuries if not for thousands of years.

It is fitting and it is harmony to have women-Zenske- standing next the the fountian of life as if they are taking the forms of the Water Bird Goddesses found strewn in "Old Europe" archeological sites in the former Yugoslavia regions.
