August 6–9, 2025 · Mt. Vlasić, Bosnia · A women-only gathering
From survival to thriving. Scholars, practitioners, and activists came together in a transdisciplinary conversation on memory, transgenerational trauma, and its relevance to women. Their presentations are now available to watch online.
The Memory in Motion conference is a women-only international summit that brings together scholars, frontline workers, artists, and cultural practitioners who carry and transform generational traumas into social epigenetic pathways of connection, meaning, and collective healing. Hosted in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the gathering centers the lived experiences of women war crimes and war survivors from South Slavic, Palestinian, Syrian, and Ukrainian communities, many of whom were silenced by violence but never stopped remembering through cultural practices.
The full summit program — sessions, times, and presenter abstracts.
Held at Central Hotel Wellness & Spa, Mt. Vlasić, Bosnia — the on-site home of the 2025 gathering.
Anna filmed the four days at Mt. Vlasić and premiered her own film at the gathering. It plays here as a free introduction to the summit.
